Donation Center

The Donation Center is one of The Arc Arkansas's primary funding sources and helps subsidize the many programs and services offered to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Arc collects donations of clothing, bedding, shoes and other household items, which are in turn sold to Savers Thrift Stores.  Savers, in turn, sells the items in its thrift stores or to third world countries.  Unusable cloth items are sent for recycling.  Revenue from these sales is used to fund the services offered by The Arc.

Donations can be dropped off at the donation center (2004 S. Main St.) during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Individuals may also call the Donation Center at 501-375-7770 to arrange a pick up at their home or office.  Donation pick ups are made throughout Central Arkansas.

The Arc appreciates all donations. Please keep us in mind when you are doing your spring cleaning! Unfortunately we are not able to accept heavy items such as appliances, furniture, or mattresses.

The Arc, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Your donations qualify as a charitable contribution per IRS determination.

Having a Rummage Sale at your church, school, or organization?  Don’t forget to call the Arc to arrange for pick-up of your unsold items.  We will be happy to arrange a pick-up of your leftovers.

Remember, even unusable cloth items are valuable to the Arc.  Torn, threadbare, or worn out clothing, towels, sheets, bedding, and even rags can be sent for recycling.  Don’t send it to the landfill.  Call the Arc!
